Barney has patiently waited his turn at a second chance but there is only so much he can take. He has been stuck in the shelter for over a year now. When he arrived he lost quite a bit of weight through stress. He is super clean in his kennel. We therefore believe that he was in a home and loved before - which only makes his situation even more heartbreaking. He is the type of dog who knows exactly what he has lost. Having known his very own humans, a home, and a routine, yet ending up experiencing true hardship, this boy will be forever grateful to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. Rescues like him are truly special in that sense; they fiercely love their family as they know exactly what it’s like to lose them.

We are looking for a forever home, foster offer, or foster view to adopt for Barney. His adoption fees are sponsored so we are just asking for his travel costs if he was to come to the UK.

Barney is approximately 2.5 years old. He needs to get out of the kennel environment so he can live out what’s left of his youth. He cannot live with male dogs (at least that is our assessment in the kennel environment) but is good with females. Equally he would be ok as an only dog.

Barney would suit most home situations - a single person, a couple, a family…

He relishes at any opportunity to engage with humans. Even at the vets he is just excited to be around people. Let’s find him his forever family so his life can start.

Barney can be adopted in Cyprus or in the UK. He is ready to fly. He is neutered, vaccinated, and has had a full health check and blood tests for infectious diseases.
