After over a year spent in a Cypriot shelter, Loco was lucky enough to fly to the UK.
Ever since he arrived in foster kennels in the UK, Loco has a real zest for life. A complete turnaround compared to what he was experiencing in Cyprus. He adores his walks and we believe he will need an active enough forever home. There’s no doubt that Loco will beside himself once he’s finally in a home and, for that reason, he needs someone able to cope with his initial puppy-like energy and dedicate to training him. He has been quick to learn since his arrival in the UK.

With people he knows, Loco is friendly, but can be unsure of strangers at first. If he was to be homed with another dog then they would need to match his energy levels and size. Loco enjoys playing with toys, a luxury they don’t have in the shelter environment, but his excitement with them leads us to believe any small animals in the home would not be suitable. No cats.

It’s really lovely to see Loco’s new found energy in the UK - he was highly stressed in the overcrowded shelter. He is such a joy to be around. He’s very affectionate and a bit goofy at times.

Loco is approx 2.5-3 years old and the shelter had previously been working on his leash training, sit, and down. This boy thrives on love and reassurance. Any fosterer or adopter needs to be willing to put the work in to train him (he’s very food oriented) - as is standard for any rescue dog.

We don’t know about Loco’s background but we do know that the situation he had found himself in was very upsetting for him. This leads us to believe that he once knew not only a home but perhaps a proper family.

Any children should be 10+ due to Loco’s strength. Even though he is only medium sized, he is a strong boy.

We will consider foster view to adopt or a forever home for Loco.

Loco has a full bill of health, is vaccinated, castrated, and tested for infectious diseases.
