This beautiful dog is BRUNO

BRUNO is not only incredibly handsome, but he's also a very friendly and happy dog.

He stands behind the bars and watches the world move on without him every. single. second. His youth is being spent in a cage. His best years are quietly slipping away while he waits… and waits… and waits.

Bruno spent God knows how long in the municipal pound before we brought him into the NDR family in October 2023. We truly believed that once he was finally seen, once people really looked at him, he’d be home in no time.
But here we are… two years later… and still nothing. Not a single application. Not a single person choosing him.

And we can’t help but ask ourselves,why?
Why is he overlooked again and again and again?
What is it about Bruno that makes people scroll past him, while he stays behind?

Bruno is about 3.5 years old (estimated DOB 04/05/2022), a large boy at around 30kg, and he is nothing but a bundle of love and joy.

He is friendly with people, kids, and other dogs (no cats), and all he wants is what every dog wants, a home to call his own, a family or an individual to love him and show him everything he’s missed out on.

He lives for cuddles, pets, and head scratches.
He loves his toys.
He loves his walks.
He loves being near the people he trusts.

Bruno knows basic commands like sit and paw. He’s clever, eager to learn, and very food-motivated which helps when training. He tries so hard to be good… and he is good.

Bruno doesn’t understand why no one has chosen him yet.
And honestly? Neither do we.

All he wants is a chance.
One person.
One home.
One heart willing to say, “I choose you.”

Bruno is currently in Cyprus looking for a home in UK. He will be neutered, vaccinated, chipped, treated for parasites, have his own pet passport and rescue back up from Saving Souls Animal Rescue.
