All about this dog…
Nora
Sweet Nora is up for adoption 😍! She is in foster in East Yorkshire UK. She is young, cross breed, medium size. Nora has flown from Cyprus and has been in foster for some time now and now needs to find her forever home. This is what her foster mum says about her: When Nora came to us she was an absolute nervous wreck. Scared of everything. As the months have gone by she has grown in confidence a little each day. She will now come to you for cuddles and to play, but she is still nervous of people moving around and sudden noises. She loves to spend time out in the garden (her chosen safe space). She is very clean in the house and we only had a few accidents at the beginning. She loves to play with teddy bears but rips them limb from limb. We’ve nicknamed her “Nora the destroyer (of toys)”!! She hasn’t damaged any furnishing etc. She eats all her dinner but is very skittish and will run away from her dish if you move too close. She shows no signs of aggression around toys and food. She doesn’t like to eat with people around but one of us has to stay in the kitchen to make sure our greedy Labrador doesn’t steal her food. She is not motivated by food at all (no interest in licky mats or kongs). She will eat some veg but will pick out what she doesn’t like. She loves to play a lot with our dog and to curl up together for naps and bedtime. She has not used a crate during the time we have been fostering her. She settles and sleeps through the night with no issues. She is still quite nervous on walks but she is slowly building up her confidence. We have her connected to the lead via her collar and harness just in case. Nora would be best suited to a home where someone is home most of the day. She is an averagely active dog (spurts of energy and long naps afterwards). We have not discovered any health issues. She hasn’t come across any cats or small animals but gets on very well with our two dogs. She has met children when we’ve had visitors. She shows an interest in all visitors but at what she considers a safe distance. I’m fairly confident that she likes me but as with our other dog she prefers my fiancé. If he goes out for even two minutes they greet him like he’s been gone for months. We had to leave both Nora and our other dog home alone when we had to rush our old girl to the vets and they did no damage at all. Nora would be best suited to a home where someone is home most of the day. She needs another dog in the home. Rbu home check and adoption fee applies. Nora is microchipped, neutered and vaccinated.
