You were just a puppy when someone bought you, almost as if you were a toy.

They played with you, trained you, used you and even gave you a prestigious name: Alpha Dark of C.A. And then, when they got tired of you and perhaps wanted a new “toy”, you were no longer wanted. At just 5.5 years old, you were already old for them.

Somewhere along the way, you also lost an eye. We don’t know what happened to you or what you went through. But what we do know is that the family who once chose you abandoned you as easily as if you were nothing, and you ended up in a small cage in a municipal pound.

But to us volunteers, you are precious.

You are a magnificent Belgian Malinois, and we will describe you exactly as we know you: a fantastic, well-behaved, healthy dog who deserves nothing but the best.

And the first thing we wanted to give you was a new name. No more Alpha Dark. You are Apollon. Our Apollon. 💙

Apollon is 5.5 years old, castrated and healthy. He has only one eye, but this does not affect him at all. He knows commands, walks beautifully on the leash, listens to your voice and, when you call him, comes and sits next to you like a true protector.

He will be the most loyal friend to the person who gives him a family.

Apollon would be a wonderful match for an active person who knows and loves the breed. In return, you will have a loyal companion and protector by your side.

He does not react to stray cats while walking, although he would prefer not to be friends with them. He has also met a female dog and was good with her. However, honestly, we believe he would be happiest as the only pet in the home. He is the kind of dog who forms a very strong bond with his person, and you can truly feel his beautiful, majestic energy.

We desperately want to see Apollon out of that municipal cage and into the life he deserves.

Apollon is currently in Cyprus looking for a home in UK. He will be neutered, vaccinated, chipped, treated for parasites, have his own pet passport and rescue back up from Saving Souls Animal Rescue. Adoption fee and home check required.
