Hello, I’m Messi.
I’m a shy but happy boy with a soft heart and a gentle spirit, looking for a calm home where I can grow in confidence at my own pace.

I’m a handsome hound mix approx 3 years old, with a beautiful coat of white and warm browns. I may be unsure in new situations, but I’m a sweet, friendly lad who really shines when I’m with other dogs. Canine friends help me feel relaxed, and I do wonderfully sharing space or playing with dogs of all types.

When people approach me, I look happy and curious, but I’m still learning to feel comfortable with close contact. I’ll take a step back if I’m unsure—but if you give me time, I’ll come to you when I’m ready. I’m doing so well with my gentle training, and I’ve recently started allowing light touches to my face and head when I choose to come close.

I love treats (they’re a great way to my heart!), and I enjoy toys too—I don’t mind sharing them. When it’s time for handling or check-ups, I can get a little stressed, but I tolerate it, and I’m learning every day. I have no known health issues and no history of aggression. I’m a good eater, calm around food, and have lovely manners.

A quieter home would suit me best, where I can feel safe and another dog might help build my confidence.
