🌸 Meet Yara – Our Pretty Girl with a Heart of Gold 🌸

Yara is a strikingly beautiful young girl, born around 01/08/2024, currently weighing 14.4 kg. She flew to her foster home in Northampton in the UK in middle of December and is now ready to find her forever home 🏡💛

Yara has a big personality and energy to spare ⚡ She’s confident, playful, and full of life – a true wild child who loves to run, explore, and enjoy the world around her 🐾

She is very food-motivated 🍗, which makes training enjoyable and rewarding. After her initial excitement and playtime, Yara settles beautifully into cuddle mode 💞 She is extremely affectionate and really enjoys quiet time with her people once her energy is spent.

According to her foster mum:

“Yara is a very beautiful and sweet girl. She is extremely affectionate and loves greeting people and other dogs while out on walks. In the short time I’ve had her, she hasn’t reacted negatively to anything outside the house. She has grown so much in confidence over the past couple of weeks, and I know she will continue to make great progress.”

Yara would thrive in a home with access to a garden 🏡 and plenty of opportunities for long walks and enriching outdoor activities. She is a young, high-energy dog and would benefit from consistent, enriching activities to help her continue developing both physically and mentally.

She generally gets along well with both male and female dogs; however, in a home environment she shows some signs of resource guarding around toys. For this reason, she would ideally be the only dog in the household so she can fully bond with her people and feel secure. That said, we feel that with time, patience, and appropriate training, Yara could also do well in a home with another dog, as long as adopters are willing to give her the time she needs to adjust and work through this issue carefully and positively.

On the lead, Yara can be strong and excitable, especially when she spots small wild animals 🐿️ — something that will continue to improve with training and consistency.

One of Yara’s most special qualities is her natural gentleness around children 🥰 She instinctively adapts her behaviour, becoming softer, calmer, and more cuddly.
