Silver

Silver is a stunning young boy with a heart full of potential. He was found tied outside the gate of the pound in April 2025, a clear sign that he had been abandoned. Since then, he has been living at the shelter, slowly learning that not all humans are unkind. While his past may have left him uncertain and shy, Silver is showing us every day that trust can be rebuilt with patience and love.

Silver is incredibly gentle and, despite his initial fear, shows no signs of aggression. He’s a reserved soul who prefers the safety and comfort of his kennel, but even so, he’s made great strides. He’ll come to the front of his kennel for treats and gentle strokes, offering a glimpse into his kind nature. This is a huge step for him, and with each small interaction, his trust in people continues to grow.

He’s been out in the open area before, and when he’s able to run freely, he shows his playful side. Although he keeps a safe distance from people, his moments of joy remind us of the dog he can become with time. Silver’s journey will require patience, but his potential is limitless. He would thrive with the guidance of a patient trainer or experienced foster who can help him feel secure enough to explore the world beyond his kennel.

With kindness, stability, and consistency, Silver can blossom into a loving, trusting companion. He just needs the right person or family to give him the space and time to open up at his own pace. Silver may be shy now, but with the right support, he will shine.

Silver does have leishmania, but it’s a common and fully manageable condition that doesn’t impact his energy, mood, or overall health. He simply takes one small tablet a day, and that’s all it takes to keep him healthy and happy. This condition is nothing to worry about, and it certainly won’t stop Silver from living his life to the fullest once he finds the right home.

He is currently in Cyprus looking for a home in UK. He will be neutered, vaccinated, chipped, treated for parasites, have his own pet passport and rescue back up from Saving Souls Animal Rescue.
