Hi! I’m Amber, a small-to-medium sized girl just over two years old. I’ve spent the last 8 weeks in kennels, which has been hard because I’m a total Velcro dog. I was in a foster home recently, but I wanted all the attention for myself—the resident dog wasn't a fan! I just really need my own human to shadow.

This is what my foster mum said about me:- 

Amber is a very sweet, loving and affectionate dog who enjoys cuddles and being close to her people. She is calm in the home but can become very excitable on walks, especially around birds and squirrels.

She responds well to short lead training with treats in low-distraction areas, but will need ongoing training in more stimulating environments as she can pull and become distracted. She enjoys two daily walks and loves a secure space where she can run freely.

Amber is very food-orientated with no food aggression. She enjoys playing with other dogs but can be a little rough, so play should be supervised. She may bark at other dogs when walking with another dog but is better when walked alone, and can be a little jealous when seeking attention.

She is friendly and gentle with older children and great with adults, but a home with older children is recommended. Although she has lived with a cat before, a cat-free home is preferred. Amber is semi house-trained and may need encouragement with toileting. She sleeps through the night but prefers being close to someone and doesn’t like being left, though she is not destructive.

Amber would benefit from being the only dog initially and will need an experienced, physically capable owner to continue her training. She is healthy, active, travels well in the car, and loves a cuddle. A home with a secure garden would be ideal.

Amber is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for her forever home.
